DJ Mix Of The Week

So I have a bit of an obsession with babyschön, so much so that I’m willing to copy and paste her name to make sure I get the umlaut in.

I think that the Hessle Audio show is the only other radio show that I listed to on a weekly basis, albeit listening in my own time having downloaded from Soundcloud.

And this is arguably my favourite babyschön show from 2025.

Generally her shows are musically quite languid, verging on 80’s sleaze, with generally disco-ish/electro sounds but never quite in either bucket fully.

So why was it my favourite mix of the year? Well, she played this for a start:

The show starts languid, apparently it was raining at the time so it probably felt right, but slowly the sunnier more disco-ish vibes come out.

And the latter half becomes somewhat more house-y, still quite languid and dreamy, and not much chat in the way either – lots of music prioritisation.
