Prosumer has been around for years, just kind of bubbling under, doing his thing and seemingly never reaching for the spotlight too much.
This isn’t the first time that I’ve featured him – it is pretty much two years ago since I last featured a mix of Prosumer’s, and that seems a good enough amount of time to be ready to talk about him, and more importantly his DJ set, again.
As you’d expect if you’ve heard Prosumer before, this mix starts with quality house music and ends with quality house music.
It isn’t long until the stone-cold classic Clap Your Hands by Lil’ Louis is mixed in, which is peak gorgeousness from 1997. It’s that kind of vibe.
Other tracks are by the likes of Chez Damier (ridiculously underrated producer, except those of us who know), DJ Duke and Blake Baxter – it sounds very much like my first trip to Ibiza in 1998. Plus there’s hints of disco, Italo and acid in the mix.
This mix from Prosumer is a really enjoyable 2 hours of house music. Enjoyment rating of 7.28.
